A shelf for files you are moving around: drop them in, drag them out where they need to go.
What it is
A shelf for files you are moving around: drop them in, drag them out where they need to go.
How to use it
Open the File Shelf and drop files in from Finder or any app.
Navigate to the destination, then drag the file out of the shelf and drop it where it belongs.
Notes
The shelf keeps files available while you move between folders and apps. Files stay where you put them — the shelf is a holding spot, not a copy.
